Welcome to Balance Therapies. My name is Kate O’Sullivan and I am a holistic therapist offering treatments in a private room at my home in Harpenden.

I am passionate about providing women with beneficial ‘time out’ from their busy schedules and general stresses and strains of life; whether that be by giving a holistic treatment or a lovely relaxing facial. We all feel better when we look good, and I believe that self-care is essential for good self-esteem and confidence. As women, we run around after everyone else but rarely prioritise ourselves. In my previous life, I was guilty of this. I gave up a job that I wasn't enjoying and re-trained as a reflexologist; I wanted to find a career where I could help other people find the peace and balance that I have found in alternative therapies.

I am a qualified reflexologist, having studied at the Middlesex School of Complementary Medicine, gaining an ITEC Level 3 Diploma in Anatomy, Physiology & Pathology for Complementary Therapies and an ITEC Level 3 Diploma in Reflexology – both with distinction. I offer treatments to women and have a special interest in working with issues that affect their health such as peri-menopause, menopause, pre-menstrual tension, anxiety, depression and stress.

Consequently, I have taken several training courses allowing me to provide treatments including Hot Stone Reflexology, Aromatherapy Reflexology, Facial Acupressure Therapy, Cosmetic Acupuncture & Natural Facelift Massage (AcuFirm) and Dermalux LED Phototherapy. Traditional Aromareflex - £55

Reflexology treatment using a personalised aromatherapy blend (60 minutes).

Hot Stones Aromareflex - £60

Luxury reflexology treatment delivered using hot stones and a personalised aromatherapy blend (60 minutes).

Facial Acupressure Therapy - £55

Luxury scalp and face massage treatment incorporating acupressure points on the head, face and neck (60 minutes).

Facials

Bespoke Facial - £60

Luxury facial using a range of professional products formulated for different skin types so will be tailored for you. This treatment also includes a blissful 20 minutes of face, neck, shoulder and scalp massage using a warmed aromatherapy oil formulated for your skin concerns. (60 minutes). 


Acufirm (Nataliya Robinson Method) - £85 

Acufirm is a blend of two techniques – natural facelift massage and cosmetic acupuncture. This is perfect to unlock tension, clear toxins and will give your face a good workout! This treatment can also be purchased as a course of 3 (10% discount applied to the total course price).

Dermalux LED Phototherapy

Light Therapy - £45

Including a thorough pre-treatment cleanse and scrub using natural organic products and hot steamy towels, and a post-treatment application of a hydrating serum, moisturiser and SPF before leaving my treatment room (45 minutes).
